Our lab studies how cells process information. We are particularly interested in understanding how these decision making processes are encoded within the cell through feedback control. We employ experimental, computational and theoretical approaches to study feedback control in cells at the molecular level.
Our lab also engineering bacteria for the production of transportation fuels. We are specifically interested in understanding how bacteria are able to transport sugars across their membrane and in developing genetic tools for reprogramming cellular physiology.
