==Welcome to Renhao Li Lab==
==Welcome to Renhao Li Lab==

We are interested in membrane proteins and receptors because they are one of the frontiers in protein research and because they are often drug targets that are closely associated with diseases. Our research centers around the following questions:
We are broadly interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of blood diseases and the development of novel therapeutics to treat them. We take a multidisciplinary approach, using a wide array of techniques in molecular biology, structural biology, cell biology, bioengineering and animal models. For details on the ongoing research projects in the lab, please see [http://openwetware.org/wiki/Renhao_Li_Lab:Research Research].

*How do membrane receptors transmit signals across the cell membrane?
*How do certain function or malfunction of membrane receptors lead to diseases? How are these functions regulated by intracellular and extracellular signals?
*How can we modulate membrane receptors to combat diseases?

We focus on membrane receptors involved in cardiovascular and immune diseases. We take a multidisciplinary approach, using a wide array of techniques in molecular biology, structural biology, cell biology, and bioengineering.
