Summary

SOC Medium. Used in bacterial transformations

Ingredients

  • 0.5% (w/v) yeast extract
  • 2% (w/v) tryptone
  • 10 mM NaCl
  • 2.5 mM KCl
  • 10 mM MgCl2
  • 20 mM MgSO4
  • 20 mM glucose

Protocol

  1. SOB (SOC - glucose) is available at the kitchen
  2. Add 1/100 volume 40% glucose (also available from the kitchen)
