Our lab is interested in host-pathogen interactions and we are using the obligate intracellular parasite Toxoplasma gondii as a model. We are currently using high-throughput sequencing methods to analyze strain differences in the modulation of host gene expression and are comparing the genomes/transcriptomes of different strains. We have also identified host differences in resistance to Toxoplasma and we are currently conducting a large scale genomics study with the aim of understanding the molecular basis of the genetic variation in host response to Toxoplasma. | |||
The lab is currently funded by an RO1 from the NIH, the American Heart Association, The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and The New England Regional Center of Excellence. | |||

Our lab is interested in host-pathogen interactions and we are using the obligate intracellular parasite Toxoplasma gondii as a model.
