Our lab is interested in the 'system' level properties of pattern forming systems in and of cells. Towards this end we use cell biology, microscopy, molecular biology and computer simulations to tackle this exciting and complex problem.
The lab was setup in 2009-Aug in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune in India. Currently we have a mix of engineers, biologists and biotechnologists working together to address some of the exciting problems in self-organized pattern formation in biology.


We are currently focussed on two problems:
In 2015 we ran an iGEM team with the theme "Mycobacterium revelio" [http://2015.igem.org/Team:IISER_Pune].
 
1) The movement of microtubules within cells
 
2) Variability in cell shape and its regulation
