this will eventually be a lab picture map with explanations for the notation on the inventory page. Currently I'm thinking some sort of alphanumberic code:

A - Alley
B - Bench
C - Cabinet
S - Shelf
D - Drawer

with some common ordering scheme: benches count left to right, shelve's count floor to ceiling, etc.

so an example code: A3B4D3 would mean: third alley from the left, fourth bench from the left (clockwise), third drawer from the bottom

other positions like lab phone, or Cold Room don't need shorthand
