Overview

How to deal with 96-well plates after use.

Materials

  • Bleach bath
  • Aluminum Foil

Procedure

  1. After use, place 96-well plate in bleach bath in wash room ensuring all wells are submerged in the solution
  2. After technician washed them, lay them out sideways to air dry on top of bench ~1 day
  3. And put in drawer under Stephanie's bench
  4. When we're running low, wrap cleaned plates in 2-4 layers of Aluminum foil (make sure there aren't big holes)
  5. And autoclave on dry cycle
