Anhydrous?

Are the masses for the phosphates for anhydrous versions or hydrated? *Nessie 19:52, 21 April 2009 (EDT):

  • Torsten Waldminghaus 09:09, 22 April 2009 (EDT): According to Sambrook they are anhydrous. However, I calculated the concentration of phosphates than and it is 12 mM instead of 10 mM. I changed that in the protocol and added the gram you need if you have 2H2O hanging on your Na2HPO4. If anybody has phosphates with other H2O please insert the ammount to be used. For helping with calculation here are the molecular masses:
  • Na2HPO4: 141.96 g/mol
  • KH2PO4: 136.09 g/mol
  • H2O: 18 g/mol
