I think it will sound much less like a form letter if we use the person's actual name (if we know it, which I assume we do for most people) and not their user name. No one really refers to me as [[User:Kathmc|kathmc]]. Oh wait, at least one person does, but I think that is strange, much like my friend who calls me that...

  • Kathleen 15:31, 19 June 2006 (EDT): Just a quit thought about the welcome note. I think it will sound much less like a form letter if we use the person's actual name (if we know it, which I assume we do for most people) and not their user name. No one really refers to me as kathmc. Oh wait, at least one person does, but I think that is strange, much like my friend who calls me that...
