Jasonk 12:08, 16 June 2006 (EDT):'I like this, is there a way we can have talk page automatically be a link to the talk page of whoever inserted the template? (since a new user probably doesn't understand exactly what a talk page is, nor would they easily be able to find the talk page of the person who posted the welcome letter.)

Kathleen 15:31, 19 June 2006 (EDT): Just a quit thought about the welcome note. I think it will sound much less like a form letter if we use the person's actual name (if we know it, which I assume we do for most people) and not their user name. No one really refers to me as kathmc. Oh wait, at least one person does, but I think that is strange, much like my friend who calls me that...
