Training Needs Assessment=
Before starting, make sure you have an MIT Certificate on the machine you are using.
- Go to the MIT EHS Training Homepage
- Under Step one, select the My EHS Training Wizard link.
- On EHS Training Needs Assessment Step 1 of 4
- Verify the information from your certificate is correct
- If correct - proceed to next page
- If incorrect - follow the directions on the page to correct info
- EHS Training Needs Assessment Step 2 of 4
- Choose a Department, please make sure to select either Biology or Biological Engineering, so that Drew will appear on the next page
- Select Continue.
- EHS Training Needs Assessment Step 3 of 4
- Select Drew from the list that appears.
- Select continue.
- EHS Training Needs Assessment Step 4 of 4
- To prevent you from reading the entire list, check/select the following two (and only those two) items from this list you see:
- Section 1, item 1, which says: Use potentially hazardous chemicals in a laboratory (this includes even common chemicals such as oil, solvents, paints, alcohol, acetone, etc)
- Section 2, item 4, which says: Handle BL1, BL2 or recombinant DNA/RNA microorganisms (the 4th item listed in the second section).
- Select confirm activities and continue
- To prevent you from reading the entire list, check/select the following two (and only those two) items from this list you see:
- Summary Page
- Verify the information at the top of the page is correct.
- When you scroll down you will see the list of training requirements you need to fulfill (the following directions will tell you how to complete each of the requirements).
- Note that you can now get to this page by going to the website listed in 1 above, and select My EHS Training link in step 2,
- To proceed to the Online Training, select the Go to Web Class button and then follow the directions below in the Online Training Section.
