We are using fluorescence microscopy and fluctuation analysis to understand cellular membranes, membrane mimics, and lipid monolayers.
The research has applications to understanding intracellular signaling via cell membrane receptors, and to the development of biomimetic materials (such as lipid coated microbubbles) for biomedical applications.
