The Lucky Bat: Because neither the spit nor the bat itself made the bat lucky, I would try to find a unique reaction between the two that does not happen once it has been used. Once used, there may be too many oils from hands on it or it may not have the same important texture due to balls hitting it. I don't know if this is actually possible though, because it is known as lucky after use, although the spit must be applied before usage.
