===Preparation of stock solutions===
*50 mL of 2.512mM HAuCl4 stock solution was prepared by adding 0.0427 g of HAuCl4 in distilled water.
**(0.05L)(2.512×10<sup>-3</sup> mol/L)(340 g/mol)=0.0427 g
*50 mL of 20 μM lysozyme stock solution was prepared by adding 0.014307 g of Lysozyme in distilled water
**((0.05L)(20×10<sup>-6</sup> mol/L)(14307 g/mol)= 0.014307 g
Note: The pH of the solution has to be kept at 3.6 for optimum formation of AuNPs.
*Per mL test tube, add 0.5 mL HAuCl<sub>4</sub> stock solution (final concentration 250 μM)
* Also add 2.075 mL of 20μM of lysozyme stock
**m<sub>1</sub>v<sub>1</sub>=m<sub>2</sub>v<sub>2</sub>
**8.3×10<sup>-6</sup>(5mL)=20×10<sup>-6</sup>v<sub>2</sub>
**v<sub>2</sub>=2.075 mL

Preparation of stock solutions

  • 50 mL of 2.512mM HAuCl4 stock solution was prepared by adding 0.0427 g of HAuCl4 in distilled water.
    • (0.05L)(2.512×10-3 mol/L)(340 g/mol)=0.0427 g
  • 50 mL of 20 μM lysozyme stock solution was prepared by adding 0.014307 g of Lysozyme in distilled water
    • ((0.05L)(20×10-6 mol/L)(14307 g/mol)= 0.014307 g

Note: The pH of the solution has to be kept at 3.6 for optimum formation of AuNPs.
