ObjectiveIn Situ cross-linking of polyvinyl alcohol films Description0.1g of polyvinyl alochol film (0.5 g in 6mL H2O) treated with gluteraldehyde was placed in a solution containing 100mL water, 2mL HCl, and 20g Na2SO4 @ 70 degrees celsius. The sodium sulfate is added to decrease solubility of the polymer during the acetalization reaction. The polymer film was immersed in solution with stirring for 1 hour. A 1% HCl solution was prepared and heated to 70 degrees celsius. Data
