Objective

Begin hydrogel formation using freeze-thaw method for the design of a system that allows for the oral delivery of insulin.

Description

Dissolve 0.5g PVOH of the following molecular weights in 6mL of H2O @ 95°C :

a) 22,000 (MP Biomedicals)

b) 89,000-98,000 99+% hydrolysis(Aldrich Chemistry)

c) 130,000 99+% hydrolysis(Aldrich Chemistry)

d) 146,000-186,000 99+% hydrolysis(Aldrich Chemistry)


-Make 2 samples of each different Molecular Weight.
