Description

The mixture was not pale yellow, but a dark one. I set it aside in a black falcon tube, and I started another mixture with MgNO3 this time. HPLC water was used because it is more compared to the water that was used earlier in the week. Same procedure from Monday was followed. There was still precipitate in the bottom of the falcon tube however.

Calculations

  • HgNO3.water
  • 280.63 (g/mol)*0.005(mol/L)*0.05L=0.0701575g
