Preparation of Stock Solutions

Today stock solutions of HAuCl4·H2O and Lysozyme were prepared for use of the Experimental Biological Chemistry I course at American University. The precise concentrations and volumes used, as well as more detailed procedural instructions can be found here in instructor Dr. Matt Hartings's lab notebook. 16 1ml samples were made, and 10 5ml samples were made. In order to reduce pressure in the tubes during heating (and to prevent loss of sample), the Eppendorf tube caps were replaced with tin foil.
