1-Propanol, Phosphate, KCl

Reaction performed in Ocean Optics using standard procedures outlined in the entry on September 22, 2014. Reaction was done with 15 mg of lyophilized KCl in Phosphate buffer dissolved in 1-Propanol.

  • Very little precipitate formed compared to the reaction from September 5. Bottom 40% of solution turned a distinct lime green color, while the top 60% of the solution remained clear. This could indicate that the precipitate observed in the September 5 reaction had to do with the protein.
