Recipe

• 800 mM PIPES
• 10 mM EGTA
• 10 mM MgCl₂
• ~ 1.25 M NaOH
• 25 mL water.
• pH 6.89

Notes

10x is just about the max that all the chemicals in PEM will go into solution at. Making a 10x solution is beneficial when needing to prepare a PEM solution in H₂¹⁸O water. I should also point out that the closer you get to the correct mass of chemicals needed, the easier it is to pH.
