Recipe
- PEM
- 1.0 mg/mL kappa casein
Procedure
See the [math]\displaystyle{ \alpha }[/math]-PEM procedure for pictures.
- Weigh out 25 mg of kappa casein.
- Add 25 mL of PEM to the casein.
- Place in a beaker with a stir bar and stir for approximately 15-20 minutes on setting 7, or until all the casein is in solution.
- Aliquot into vials and store in the 4°C fridge.
Do not filter solution. This casein solution will last for 6 months in the fridge.
