the custom plasmid from DNA 2.0 has arrived and I am hereby naming it pBSTXI, which isn't very clever. Anyways it came as a powder so I added 20ul of 1x TE buffer to it to give it a final concentration of 100ng/ul (because there were 2ug of plasmid).

The DNA also came as a agarose stab, which I don't know what to do with yet. I guess I should order some LB plates and figure out how to smear the DNA on those plates, then make a glycerol stock of the smears. Could be a fun mini-project.
