# Aqueous mixtures of bovine serum albumin(BSA) (0.0015-0.015 mM) and chloroauric acid (HAuCl4) (0.25-1.0 mM) were mixed in screw-capped bottles. The two components were mixed at room temperature and kept in a water thermostat bath at 80+/- 0.1°C for 6 hours under fixed conditions. After 6 hours the samples were cooled to room temperature and left to sit overnight. They were then purified from pure water two or more times to remove excess BSA by collecting the Au NPs (nanoparticles) at 10000-14000 rpm for 5 minutes after washing each time with distilled water.
