Objective

  • Testing for HRP (UV/Vis)
  1. Spin down HRP GNPs and resuspend pellets for second time
  • Work on paper and presentation
  • Tomorrow: Kinetics

Procedure

  1. Run UV-Vis on HRP conjugate pellets and supernatants
  2. AA of samples to ensure that gold is present
    1. Calibration of Javier's Notebook used

OPD UV/Vis

Notes

  • Gamma method #2 did not work
  • Took AA of gamma supernatant
    • No gold, so the gold never attached or it attached and then fell off
  1. Differences between this batch and the other batch
    1. More gold nanoparticles in this batch than previous
    2. This was after second spin
      1. This could mean there was more time for them to fall into solution
      2. The time difference alone between attachment could show that the particles are not staying attached.
