The Daily Grind

  • Streaking out wash water from soil experiment to re-ID contaminating microbes. Putting 100 ul of the last wash into each octant of a 200 ml R2A plate.
  • Doing day 7 of the BAC test experiment (plate counts of E. coli with BAC still alive on ground up ex-plants)
  • Cloned AraBAD promoter (same sequence from pBAD-GFPuv plasmid) and GFPuv into pDRIVE. Cutting GFPuv out of pDRIVE and checking its Arabinose induced expression in pDRIVE under that promoter.
  • Manish wants me to do Burkholderia inncolation experiment on corn.
