Objective

Learn how to maintain an OpenWetWare Notebook.

Description

Running UV vis on ATP.

100mM ATP (disodium ATP) = 0.1M ATP MW: 605.24g/mol mass: 0.605g/10mL

We tried to create a serial dilution:

1mL 100mM ATP:9mL H2 = ATP C1 = 0.01M ATP 0.001M ATP = ATP C2 0.0001M ATP = ATP C3 0.00001M ATP = ATP C4 0.000001M ATP = ATP C5 0.0000001M ATP = ATP C6 0.00000001M ATP = ATP C7 0.000005M ATP = ATP 4.5 0.0000025M ATP = ATP 4.25 0.0000005M ATP = ATP 5.5 0.00000025M ATP = ATP 525A 0.00000005M ATP = ATP 6.5 0.000000025M ATP = ATP 6.25 ATP 5.5B ATP 5.25B ATP 6B ATP 6.5B ATP 6.25B 0.000000005M ATP = ATP 75B 0.0000000025M ATP = ATP 725B

The graphs from this data did not provide significant information.

  lower limit 1μL in 100mL → 0.00001 M ATP 1
              1μL in 50mL → 0.00002 M ATP 2
  too high 1μL in 10mL → 0.0001 M ATP 3

  too high 3μL in 50mL → 0.00006 M ATP 5

              1μL in 10mL → 0.0001 M ATP 3A

The data from this UV vis indicated either contamination or error so another UV vis was run with new samples.
