# Make a solution with an Au/BSA mole ratio = 166
# Combine 1 mL of 3.66 mM HAuCl<sub>4</sub> and 1.27 mL of 0.0173 mM BSA in a test tube.
# Dilute to 10 mL with water.
# Place in oven at 80°C.
# Leave solutions in oven for 3.5 hr.

The AuNP came out of solution. UV-vis data was taken of the clear solution. No absorbance was measured in the desired range.

Objective

To make a solution of AuNP/BSA protein fibers and to continue to take UV-vis data over time of 70 Au/BSA solution synthesized on 01/31/11.

Description

  1. Make a solution with an Au/BSA mole ratio = 166
  2. Combine 1 mL of 3.66 mM HAuCl4 and 1.27 mL of 0.0173 mM BSA in a test tube.
  3. Dilute to 10 mL with water.
  4. Place in oven at 80°C.
  5. Leave solutions in oven for 3.5 hr.
