Protocol for Collecting Beads

  1. Stop beads from stirring
  2. Remove the stir bar and transfer the beads into a beaker
  3. Filter the beads using a large Buchner funnel (Notes #2)
  4. Lay the beads on a watch glass and let them dry overnight

Notes

  1. do not stir beads too long because they will begin to breakdown
  2. using a vacuum to filter the beads will crush the bead structure
