About Elianna Goldstein

Elianna Goldstein is a graduate student researcher in the Comai Lab at the UC Davis Genome Center. She is in the Plant Biology Graduate Group and pursuing a her degree with a Designated Emphasis in Biotechnology.

She previously worked on the COGA project in Dr. Alison Goate's Lab at the Washington University School of Medicine, department of Psychiatry.

Current Research

Elianna is working on a small project on preventing DNA fragmentation on acrylamide gels in the TILLING mutant screen procedure.

Next, she will be working on a project on the trait of survival of aneuploid offspring, in the model system, Arabidopsis thaliana.

Outside Interests

Elianna loves the outdoors, from a day in the park to running to camping. She is also a member of the UC Davis women's ultimate team, the Pleiades.


She also enjoys taking things apart and putting them back together, even outside of science.
