ObjectiveTo synthesize gold nanoparticles while controlling the volume of air in contact with the solution, the volume of water used, and the cooling of the reaction mixture. The mini preps were also worked up today. DescriptionNanoparticle Synthesis 7 reaction mixtures were set up, each with varying conditions. Each tube contained 1 μL of BSA, 1 μL of HAuCl4 and had water as the solvent. The reaction mixtures were placed in the heat block for 2 hours at 80°C.
