ObjectiveTo synthesize nanoparticles and investigate the effects of changing the concentration of the reactants, while keeping the molar ratio constant, and to determine what solvents can be used to dissolve the purple fibers. DescriptionNanoparticle Synthesis Four reactions were performed. Three epitube reactions and one large glass test tube reactions were set up. The large test tube reaction consisted of 1 mL of 30uM BSA, 0.5 mL of 4.17 mM HAuCl4, and 8.5 mL water. The tube was placed in an oven set to 70°C for 3 hours. Epitube 1 - 100 uL BSA, 50 uL HAuCl4, and 850 uL water. Final Concentrations: Epitube 2 - 25 uL HAuCl4, 50 uL BSA, and 925 uL water in this order. Final Concentrations: Epitube 3 - 50 uL BSA, 25 uL HAuCl4, and 925 uL water in this order. Final Concentrations:
