MOF-5 rx with 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium-acetate

  • 1.)Add solids to small capped vial, .03 g MOF-5
  • 2.)Add 5 mL of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium-acetate
  • 3.)MOF-5 Not dissolving after 2 hours
  • 4.)Heat at 80 degrees Celsius
  • 5.) Result: Solid dissolving after 1 hour (See image below)
