Connecting the dots....

  • is Olanzapine biosynthesized starting from DMSO ?
  • Are amino acids involved in the reaction ?
  • Is therefore the Pictet-Spengler reaction a novel method to make asymmetrical molecules biosynthesis for possibly atypical chemotherapy drugs? (ie: schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, etc...) ?
