We people come from very different backgrounds; there are many engineers, a lot of biologists, plenty computer science people and even some mathematicians, medics or people with more exotic backgrounds. Since Synthetic biology has contributions from many areas there are many things we aren't used to; engineers, mathematicians and biologists address problems in a different way, use different languages and have different very different skills and knowledges. Welcome to Synthetic Biology!
