Happy in the lab

I'm a PhD candidate in Dr. Stephen Fong's Systems Biological Engineering Laboratory at VCU in Richmond, VA. My graduate work has been focused on developing genetic parts to control transcription. I am also actively developing synthetic biology educational material. Please feel free to email me. My research interests include:

  • Orthogonal gene expression
  • Artificial gene networks
  • Synthetic metagenomics
  • Genome organization, refactoring & design
  • Metabolic, organellar & enzyme engineering
  • Genome-scale, single-cell characterization
