My personal research interest has been the understanding of biological gene regulation mechanisms within the context of reduced systems, namely in vitro transcription and translation systems. My interest is in learning about other contexts in which reduced systems might find applications. Currently, we are investigating how to utilize such systems to gain insight into RNA function, in particular RNA network motifs.

Research Interests

My personal research interest has been the understanding of biological gene regulation mechanisms within the context of reduced systems, namely in vitro transcription and translation systems. My interest is in learning about other contexts in which reduced systems might find applications. Currently, we are investigating how to utilize such systems to gain insight into RNA function, in particular RNA network motifs.
