A 50μM solution of 11-mercaptoundecanamide was made to be added to pre-made citrate gold nanoparticles. To make the stock, 2.72mg 11-mercaptoundecanamide was dissolved in 2.5mL of hot spring water. 22.5 mL of room temperature citrate gold nanoparticles was brought to pH 10 using 1.0M NaOH and were combined with the 11-mercaptoundecanamide stock solution. This solution is stirred for 30 seconds and left in 4 °C to react overnight.

A 50μM solution of 11-mercapto-1-undecanol was made to be added to pre-made citrate gold nanoparticles. To make the stock, 2.56mg 11-mercaptoundecanol was dissolved in 2.5mL of hot spring water. 22.5 mL of room temperature citrate gold nanoparticles was brought to pH 10 using 1.0M NaOH and was combined with the 11-mercapto-1-undecanol. This solution is stirred for 30 seconds and left in 4 °C to react overnight.

11-Mercaptoundecanamide Gold Nanoparticle Synthesis
A 50μM solution of 11-mercaptoundecanamide was made to be added to pre-made citrate gold nanoparticles. To make the stock, 2.72mg 11-mercaptoundecanamide was dissolved in 2.5mL of hot spring water. 22.5 mL of room temperature citrate gold nanoparticles was brought to pH 10 using 1.0M NaOH and were combined with the 11-mercaptoundecanamide stock solution. This solution is stirred for 30 seconds and left in 4 °C to react overnight.
