Objective

Today we'll be synthesizing lysozyme-AUNP nanoparticles

Procedure

First we will create a gold stock solution. For this we will add 0.010048 g of gold to a 10 ml volumetric flask, and add water to this. The resulting concentration of the stock solution will be 2.3 mM

Secondly, we will make a stock solution of lysozyme. For this we will add 0.00570g of lysozyme in 20 volumetric flask, and add water until it is full. The resulting concentration of the stock solution will be 0.02 mM

The ratios of protein to gold being used are:

  1. 40:1
  2. 50:1
  3. 110:1

Figure 1 illustrates the volumes used to create this.
