Half of my job consists of infecting mice with bacteria and harvesting their organs to search for cancer, and the other half is damaging DNA and measuring how much harm I've done. I have a particular interest in homologous recombination, and we have a super awesome mouse model to study it (Ask me about it! It has a lot to do with Module 1!). I'm also using the CometChip developed in the Engelward lab to try to identify in vitro when HR is occurring in cells.

I'm a second year grad student working in the Engelward at MIT working on DNA damage and repair.

I also enjoy long walks along the Charles, organization, the Daily Show, 90s music, sleep and hugs.

Education

 • 2016, Pursuing Ph.D. in Biological Engineering, MIT
