I work under Dr. Stephen Fong in the Systems Biological Engineering Lab at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am currently participating in the second summer of VCU's Bioinformatics and Bioengineering Summer Institute (BBSI). My primary research interest at VCU is the development of an in silico flux-balance model of T fusca's metabolism. Using this model, we will be able to predict the relative efficiencies of single and double gene eliminations corresponding to product secretion coupled to biomass (cellular growth/replication).
Education
- BS Neuroscience, St. Lawrence University 2011
Research interests
- Metabolic engineering of the actinomycete, Thermobifida fusca.
- Utilization of Caenorhabditis elegans as a bioassy for examining the efficacy and modality of novel TRPV1 ligands.
Publications
Soon to arrive (hopefully)!
