I work under Dr. Fong in the Evolutionary Engineering Lab at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am currently participating in the second summer of VCU's Bioinformatics and Bioengineering Summer Institute (BBSI). My primary research interest at VCU is the development of an in silico flux-balance model of T fusca's metabolism. Using this model, we will be able to predict the relative efficiencies of single and double gene eliminations corresponding to product secretion coupled to biomass (cellular growth/replication).
