We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. –Albert Einstein

Kevin is the treasurer of UVA's Virginia Genetically Engineered Machine (VGEM) Team. He is a fourth-year chemical engineering major with a concentration in biotechnology. Kevin is hoping to either attend law school for intellectual property, or work in industry to implement green practices.

Ideas

One of my ideas includes creating a Pac-Man like game using chemotaxis and cell-cell signalling. This would require designing two different bacteria to follow 'chemical trails.' If one bacteria encountered the other, the "Pac-Man" would undergo programmed cell death. A second idea is playing with RNA interference (via miRNA, siRNA, or taRNA) and using these small RNA's to create a very precise output.
