While it does look like it may be quite busy (the glowing plant Kickstarter has probably been raising public awareness of the bioluminescence community project) I should still be able to grab some time to take isolates and restreak them onto some of the plates I also poured today. | |||
If it's not too busy, it would be nice to at least do a simple stain of a few colonies to ensure Lactobacillus morphology (BioCurious doesn't have the material for Gram stains as far as I know. But I could at least confirm that they are rods.) | |||

Streaking for isolationYogurt (Brown Cow plain cream-top) was streaked for isolation on two LB agar plates. Plan for MondayWhile it does look like it may be quite busy (the glowing plant Kickstarter has probably been raising public awareness of the bioluminescence community project) I should still be able to grab some time to take isolates and restreak them onto some of the plates I also poured today. If it's not too busy, it would be nice to at least do a simple stain of a few colonies to ensure Lactobacillus morphology (BioCurious doesn't have the material for Gram stains as far as I know. But I could at least confirm that they are rods.)
