Purpose

  • Determine the amount of silver particle that leaks out of film throughout time via silver electrode conducting experiment

Procedure

  • From 100Ag-LMT film made on 2013/03/05, three of 0.5g of film in round form were cut out.
  • 50mL of pure water were poured into a polypropylene beaker as control. In three separate polypropylene beakers, one film was placed in each beaker, respectively.
  • Conductivity measurements in mV were measured for every 30 minutes for a total of 2 hours.
  • The conductivity were recorded and plotted.

Results

  • The conductivity measurements were recorded below.
Initial [Ag+] [M] Final [Ag+] [M] log [Ag+] [] Conductivity [mV] ' ' Average Conductivity [mV] Standard Deviation [mV] Corrected Conductivity [mV]
