Objective

1) made pvoh fims with (s)-(-)-3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl) trimethylammonium [aldrich] and glutaraldehyde

2) Ran DSC on all film since January 17th will analyze on monday

Description

Film Preparation

  1. Measured 1 g of each of the four modified PVOH (0.01%, 0.1%, 1%, and 8.89% PVOH)
  2. Place in beaker with 30 mL water. Dissolve on heat.
  3. Once dissolved, added 1 mL glutaraldehyde.
  4. Allowed to stir for 3 minutes
  5. Poured into plastic dish and allowed to evaporate over the weekend.
