  • took florescence of the differ concentrations used with hydrogel pieces and determined the concentrations/mols of dye attached

  • starting solution: 8.9E-9 mols
  • after soaking for 24hours with gel: 1.34E-9 mols
  • leached in water solution after 24 hours: 4.3919E-9 mols
    • 8.9E-9mols- 1.34E-9mols=7.56E-9mols of dye soaked up by gel in 24 hours
    • 7.56E-9mols - 4.3919E-9mols= 3.17E-9 mols of dye in hydrogel actual
