I am currently a technical support representative for Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc. My primary focus is building relationships with industry and academic institutions for anyone from undergrad/graduate students to post-doctoral researchers alike, who are running new experiments for the first time or trying out new antibodies.

Experienced technicians in all aspects of research become so skilled at bench techniques that the nuances of these procedures become second nature, and often times the nuances are what influence the quality and consistency of obtaining good data over time.

There are emerging new ways for bench scientists to optimize their protocols so that results are more meaningful toward producing publication quality data. Researcher time and labor at the bench is very important to consider when running experiments over time. I am joining OWW in order to contribute research antibody (immunoglobulin) and siRNA/shRNA related protocols in order to facilitate the research experience. When I am not at pondering the nuances of protocol optimization (check useful links below, ie Western Blot Optimization), I enjoy surfing, mt. biking, camping, and pen&ink artwork.
