I am currently a technical support representative for [http://www.scbt.com/ Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc] responsible for helpng scientists be more successful in their research. My primary focus is building relationships with industry and academic institutions for anyone from undergrad/graduate students to post-doctoral researchers, who are running antibody or RNAi experiments.
Bench research generates advancements in knowledge & health. Reagent quality & protocol awareness are essential for success in molecular & cell biology. Communication on reagent quality & procedure optimization facilitates successful R&D efforts.

Experiments (ie immuno (western) blotting) contain many important stages & considerations. Below are a valuable collection of resources, that will improve awareness & success.

Experienced technicians in all aspects of research become so skilled at bench techniques that the nuances of these procedures become second nature, and often times these nuances are what influence the quality and consistency of obtaining good data over time.
==Methods & Techniques==

There are emerging ways for bench scientists to optimize their protocols so that results are more meaningful toward producing publication quality data. Researcher time and labor at the bench is very important to consider when running experiments over time. I am joining OWW in order to contribute research antibody (immunoglobulin) and siRNA/shRNA related protocols in order to facilitate the research experience. When I am not at pondering the nuances of protocol optimization (ie [http://openwetware.org/wiki/Griffin:Western_Blot_Optimization Western Blot Optimization]), I enjoy surfing, mt. biking, camping, and pen&ink artwork.
