I am currently a technical support representative for Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc. My primary focus is in communication with researchers who are coordinating Immunoglobulin-based and/or RNAi experiments with SCBT reagents.

Experienced scientists in molecular/cell biology research eventually through the test of reproducing data become so skillful at bench techniques and protocols, that the nuances of these procedures become second nature, and often times these nuances are what determine the overall quality and consistency of experimental results. Like preparing a gourmet recipe, premium ingredients are essential, though it is the experience of a master chef who determines the quality of the dish.

There are emerging ways for bench scientists to optimize their protocols so that results are more meaningful toward the ultimate goal of publishing quality data and expanding on our classical understanding of biological systems. The intrinsic value of time and labor spent at the bench is very important to consider when running molecular/cell experiments since the margin for obtaining a conclusive result is inverse to the number of variables associated with the protocol. And even the most simple of procedures contains an extraordinary variable set. I am contributing research antibody (immunoglobulin) and siRNA/shRNA related protocols in order to increase awareness for scientists and to optimize the research experience.
