7.05/5.07 (Biochemistry) yes
7.06 (Cell Biology) no
7.02 (General Biology Lab) no
5.310 (General Chemistry Lab) no

Do you have any experience culturing cells (mammalian, yeast or microbial)? yes

Do you have any experience in molecular biology (electrophoresis, PCR, etc)? no

laboratory experience

I am working on a time released drug delivery system for drugs that promote neuron differentiation. I optimized the protocol for applying a variety of different lipid encapsulated drugs to PC12 (mammalian) cells, monitoring them for 4-8 days and analyzed the changes in differentiation.

This summer I worked on a microfluidic device for monitoring blood clotting via monotering light transmission. I calculated the final clot volume formed in the device using a combination of brightfield and confocal images. I wrote a custom matlab script to process the confocal images and calculate a density from each z stack.
