Biology and Mathematics

Favorite Aspect of Biology

My favorite aspect of biology is its broad nature. From environmental science to behavioral neuroscience, biology encompasses a wide variety of fields, each of which is fascinating in its own way. I decided to major in biology, as apposed to a more specific subset of biology, in order to learn a wide range of information and have a lot of options for research.

Favorite Aspect of Mathematics

My favorite aspect of mathematics is how it can be applied to the real world to solve important problems. It is so much more than the made-up word problems one finds in text books. I also love that mathematics is interwoven into many other subjects, such as chemistry, economics, biology, and even musical rhythms.
